About

MY STORY

Age brings with it layers of living and many experiences. I’ve worn many hats and each one has given me experiences that I’ve carried into the next phase of life which include but are not limited to being a fine artist, a graphic designer, a producer for a Rock doc, video editor, being in the rock band Zolar X, an author, and a holistic practitioner. This list might seem to be a bit fragmented, but what I’ve found is I now roll with a unique skillset that has brought me to this phase of life.

It wasn’t a God moment, and it wasn’t lightning, but my life changed. Like that, or within a few months, and I’ll take it. I had C-PTSD and this part of my journey had been stitched into my life since childhood. It made the edges of living raw, challenging, and discouraging at times not being able to remember what exactly had happened to land me there. However, there were two pivotal moments that changed my life forever. 1) Last year, through personal research, I discovered that hypnosis can help in the healing of PTSD (much like EMDR) by creating new neural pathways, and 2) when I decided to reinstate my clinical hypnosis certification and I enrolled in an advanced training with world renowned clinical hypnotist and trainer, Melissa Tiers.

What I learned in that training gave me a powerful toolkit to use in my everyday life and I began making my life my laboratory. Within the first month I was sleeping through the night; something I hadn’t done in decades. And life got better from there. Bit by bit, symptoms lessened, I became unblocked creatively, my nervous system health stabilized, and I felt good about life again-something I do not take lightly. Several months ago, I asked my therapist, “I feel so good! Do I still have C-PTSD?”  She did an assessment using the DSM IV and found that I do not have enough markers to indicate that I have PTSD. It is nothing short of a miracle.

I can show you how to apply these same tools to your own life. I hope we meet in the future.

Code of Ethics

*Disclaimer – PTSD/C-PTSD are serious mental health conditions. This post is not, in any way, suggesting that if you have a diagnosis of C-PTSD, or if you suspect you have PTSD, that you negate therapeutic treatment and instead use hypnosis as a sole means of treatment. I would not be where I am today if I had not found a therapist who was a “good fit” and who was trained in the nuances of working with clients who have a trauma history.
