Curious about Trance?
In this video, called Peripheral Vision, I guide you into a light trance. But don’t let the simplicity of it fool you. This is a powerful tool/technique that can stop it – whatever “it” is; spinning thoughts, inner dialogue, cravings, anxiety. It is based on the work of John Overdurf and Melissa Tiers, both world-renown trainers and practitioners I have trained with. T
This is only one small piece of what I do, one of the threads I weave when working with clients and it can be a useful tool for you to learn. For some clarification, in the video, when I say, “You can do this in a grocery store line”, what I mean is one would treat this like a self-hypnosis technique. You would say these words to yourself, in your mind. In that way, you can take it with you anywhere.
* Please do not listen to this if you are driving a car or operating machinery because it can be very relaxing – just come back to it later when you can devote the time and attention to it.
Ancient Healing
Odin’s Breath
I’ve been researching ancient healing modalities and where they intersect with modern day. While the specific, modern-named "2-minute sequence", is a reconstruction, Norse sagas and archaeological findings provide strong evidence of similar holistic healing practices during the Viking Age.
I recreated this Viking Healing Sequence called The Breath of Odin on a snowy day, in Reno, Nevada (2026). A couple things to keepin mind as you step into this “other” world, this other time and space. The Viking age was from 800 until 1050 AD and needless to say, culture hundreds of years ago, was very different from our modern day lives. “Viking Age medicine was a fascinating blend of empirical practice and spiritual belief. Whether through the skilled hands of a healer applying a yarrow poultice, or a volva (a Viking healer) chanting beneath the northern lights – or brewing a medicinal tea, the Norse approach to health was deeply holistic. It reminds us that healing is not just about disease, but also about restoring balance – between the body, the mind, and the world around us.” The Warrior Lodge
Here is the sequence which is shown in the video.
The volva (healer) would place her hands over the heart
With a sharp 2 second inhale through the nose
A one-second hold
And a slow eight-second exhale through the mouth, relaxing the shoulders and torso
